2023-24 (Sophomore): Wrestled in 26 matches at both 165 and 174... Went 10-16 overall and 2-3 in SoCon duals... Got three wins at the Navy Classic (11/18)... Defeated Geno Quodala (Navy), Dylan McCullough (Bucknell), and Max Kirby (Edinboro)... Secured a major decision dual win over George Mason's Evan Maag, 12-2... Had his hand raised in a 5-2 decision over Duke's Jack Wimmer in the Duke Family Performance Hall... Picked up an overtime win over Brown's Dominic Frontino, 8-5... Defeated Lock Haven's Eric Alderfer, 8-4... Was victorious in SoCon duals over Chattanooga's Sergio Desiante and Presbyterian's Brandon Jacoby.
2022-23 (Freshman): Ended the season 15-18 at 157 pounds... Of those 15 wins, Koch recorded four major decision victories, three pins, and one tech fall... Earned his first collegiate fall in his first-ever match against Tiffin's Justin Van Vaerenbergh at the Southeast Open (11/5/22)... Picked up a 14-0 major decision over Lander's Caleb Craig at The Citadel Open (11/13/22)... Earned a pair of major decision victories over Reagan Lefevre (Air Force) and Michael Ponenti (Navy) at the Navy Classic (11/19/22)... Came out victorious in duals against Queens (12/16/22), Presbyterian (12/16/22), and Bellarmine (1/15/23).
BEFORE DAVIDSON: Wrestled for four years at Blair Academy under Coaches Brian Antonelli and Ross Gitomer... Posted a 101-35 record in high school... Member of the two-time No. 1 team in the country... Part of the National Prep Championship team, Beast of the East Championship team and the Ironman Championship team... Named All-MAPL (Mid-Atlantic Prep League) and All-MAPL Academic... Also played soccer and lacrosse for two years.
PERSONAL: Son of Marc and Carolyn Koch... Has two siblings, Benjamin and Meike.
