Five 'Cats Make Debuts in Season Opener

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Five Wildcats made their collegiate debut as the men's track and field team opened their season at the JDL Early Bird Invite on Sunday.
AJ Kurtz, Evan Pfeil, Peter Darst, Eddie Brown, and Sam Ketch were all in action.
Brown, a native of Durham, N.C., had the top finish of the day as he took fifth in the shot put. Brown recorded a throw of 13.38 meters to secure the top-five finish.
Peter Darst finished eighth in the high jump after he cleared the bar at 1.85 meters, and Evan Pfeil took tenth in the long jump with a mark of 6>46 meters.
Up Next
The track & field team will prep for the remainder of the indoor season which starts back up on February 1. Davidson is slated to travel to the Gamecock Challenge in Columbia, S.C.
