Men's Track and Field Returns to Action at Gamecock Challenge

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Davidson College men's track team began their 2025 indoor season at South Carolina's Gamecock Challenge on Saturday.
The Wildcats got top ten finishes from Jack Muldoon (7th, 800m), Jack Fischer (9th, 600m), and Peter Darst (10th, high jump). While three 'Cats hit new PR's: Liam Maurillo (800m, 1:55.20), John Cooper (3000m, 8:27.14), and Darst (high jump, 1.87m).
Freshman Eli Roth also paced the Wildcats in the mile with a solid first showing. He clocked a time of 4:15.32 in his first collegiate meet.
Up Next
Davidson will split up at Clemson's Tiger Paw Invite (Feb. 7-8) and the Betty Rogers Invitational (Feb. 9).
