DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson men's cross country team finished third at the Queen City Invite at McAlpine Park on Friday evening. Freshman John Cooper took third place while Grahm Breiter finished fifth.

Coming off a first-place last weekend at Lenoir-Rhyne, the Wildcats turned in another solid performance on Friday. Freshman John Cooper crossed the finish line in third place after he finished the 8K course at McAlpine Park in 25:15.42. That mark was over a minute and a half faster than the time he posted a week ago.

Also finishing inside the top-five was Grahm Breiter. The California product also sliced over a minute off his last recorded time when he stopped the clock in 25:27.84 to earn fifth place. Breiter now has a first and a fifth place finish on the season.

Rounding out the field for Davidson was Daniel Cortese (20th, 26:09.36), Owen Lekki (25th, 26:29.36), and Ryan Harris (30th, 26:45.14).
