Cooper Leads 'Cats At Richmond Invitational

MECHANICSVILLE, VA - John Cooper's fifth-place finish highlighted Davidson's morning at the Richmond Invitational, which took place at Pole Green Park. Cooper ran 24:48.90 and was only three seconds behind third place. Alex Thole was the second Wildcat to cross the finish line, 15th overall, with a time of 25:30.80.
The Wildcats produced a team score of 102 and finished fourth overall.
"I am very pleased with the team result," said coach Andrew Allden. "Beating George Mason and being right in the mix with George Washington is where we want to be a month out from conference. The times we ran don't reflect how well we actually did today. It was a pretty warm morning."
"John Cooper was in the lead pack the entire time," Coach Allden added. "Alex Thole had a great race. Quinn Swanton and Daniel Cortese are getting better each race. Eric Robinson III had a solid effort in his first ever 8K."
