'Cats Top Mason in Regular Season Finale

FAIRFAX, Va. -- The Davidson men's tennis team wrapped up the regular season on Saturday afternoon capturing a 4-1 win over A-10 opponent, George Mason.
Davidson battled for the doubles point early, as William Clark and Maxwell Kachkarov captured a 6-4 victory from court two, followed by another 6-4 win at No. 3 by rookie duo Nico Pinzon and Juan Camilo Perez Gongora.
On the singles side, the Wildcats' top-two of Alejandro Solares and Udday Singh came out on top of a pair of three-set battles. Solares won his first set at No. 1, 6-4, before dropping the second 7-5. The sophomore eventually came out on top with a 6-4 third-set win, while Singh also won his first and final sets by a 6-4 decision.
Finally, senior Brooks Green clinched the win for the 'Cats as he collected a 6-2, 6-0 win from court four.
Davidson will return to action next week in Orlando, Fla. to kick off the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championships.
