• At home, Davidson is shooting 41.9 percent from long range and averaging 11.2 3-pointers per game, while posting a +20.7 scoring margin.
• Davidson has won 33 of its last 37 on McKillop Court.
• The 'Cats are 66-37 in A-10 regular season contests, including 14-4 last year, and 75-42 including A-10 tournament play.
• Kellan Grady continues to lead Davidson in scoring at 16.4 points per outing.
• Jon Axel Gudmundsson (13.7), Carter Collins (10.7) and Luka Brajkovic (10.6) are also averaging double figures for the Wildcats.
Â
JON AXEL "GOOD"MUNDSSON
• This season, Jon Axel Gudmundsson has hit the following milestones -- 1,600 career points, 750 rebounds, 500 assists, 200 made 3-pointers and 150 steals.
• He is the first Division I player since 1992-93 to reach those marks for a career.
• He is the only player in school history with 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists.
Â
GET BETTER EVERY DAY
• One of the Wildcats' philosophies is to get better every day, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 101-28 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 47-26 in March during that time.
Â
CLOSING IN ON 600
• Head coach Bob McKillop is just nine wins shy of 600 for his career.
• He would become the 39th (14th active) head coach with at least 600 wins at the Division I level.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
• Cameron Brown drilled a 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds remaining to complete a Saint Joseph's comeback and lift the Hawks over Davidson, 73-72, Tuesday night inside Hagan Arena.
• Saint Joseph's, which shot 65.6 percent in the second half, started to chip away at a double-digit deficit early in the period and used a 20-7 run late to grab its first lead of the game, 67-66, with 2:28 to play.
• After trading buckets to find themselves deadlocked 70-70, Luka Brajkovic made a driving layup with 10 seconds remaining to put the 'Cats back in front.
• Brown led all scorers with 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including four threes.
• Davidson stormed out to a 19-2 advantage highlighted by five early treys, including three from Carter Collins. The Wildcats pushed the margin to as many as 21 in the opening half before going to the break up, 40-21.
• Like the Hawks in the opening 20 minutes, the 'Cats failed to connect on a 3-pointer after intermission.
• Despite the setback, Kellan Grady paced four Davidson players in double figures with 20 points. Collins and Brajkovic added 16 each, while Hyunjung Lee scored 12 off the bench.
Â
LAST TIME VS. RHODE ISLAND
• Fatts Russell scored a game-high 26 points to lead Rhode Island past Davidson, 69-58, January 8, 2020 inside the Ryan Center.
• Despite the setback, Carter Collins paced four Wildcats in double figures with 12 points. Kellan Grady and Jon Axel Gudmundsson added 11 points each, while Luka Brajkovic had his second straight double-double with 10 points and 11 boards.
• The Rams grabbed control with a small spurt midway through the second half and would push the lead to 11, with 4:47 to play.
• Davidson cut the deficit to four on a Grady floater with 50 ticks left, but was unable to inch closer in the closing seconds.
• The Wildcats shot just 36.5 percent from the floor, which included a 4-of-23 effort from long range. Rhode Island finished with a 44.4 percent clip and got to the line 20 times, making 15.
• In a back and forth opening 20 minutes, Rhode Island carried a 34-30 lead into the half thanks in part to turning eight Wildcat miscues into 13 points at the other end.
