Wrestling Drops Decision at Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Wrestling dropped their final road dual of the season Sunday at Southern Conference foe Gardner-Webb, 25-12.
Trailing 6-3 after three bouts, Davidson junior 141-pounder Will Baldwin blanked his Runnin' Bulldog opponent Anthony Schiess, 5-0, to knot the score at six.
Davidson took the early lead with freshman 125-pounder Cian Fischer's tight 7-5 decision victory. The final six points on the day came from a Gardner-Webb forfeit at 157 pounds.
The Wildcats conclude the dual match portion of the season at home Sunday, Feb. 23 against nationally ranked Campbell. The first bout from Belk Arena is slated for 2 p.m.
