‘Cats Fall to Temple on Final Day of Orlando Invite

ORLANDO, Fla. – Davidson fell to Temple, 66-53, on the final day of the 2019 Orlando Invitational Sunday afternoon at HP Field House.
Despite the setback, Luka Brajkovic led the Wildcats with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while Carter Collins and Kellan Grady finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
After the two teams traded buckets early in the second half, the Owls (6-1) grabbed control with 11 unanswered and pushed the margin to as many as 15 late.
The Wildcats shot just 25 percent (6-24) after intermission, including a 1-of-15 effort from long range.
Davidson (3-5), which led by eight on several occasions in the first half, drilled seven 3-pointers in the period, including back-to-back from Mike Jones and Hyunjung Lee, in its final trips to lead 33-30 at the break.
The 'Cats got to within 47-43 at the 10:41 mark on another Lee trey, but were unable to get closer as the Owls stretched the margin back to double digits.
Temple was led by Nate Pierre-Louis' 15 points, while Quinton Rose contributed his first career double-double with 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
