DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson held Saint Louis without a field goal the final 11:15 and Peyton Aldridge scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Wildcats to a 54-51 victory Wednesday at Belk Arena.
Trailing 47-41 with 11:15 to play, Davidson (6-7, 1-1 A-10) scored nine unanswered capped off by a Will Magarity layup and triple to re-take the lead for good.
Kellan Grady also scored in double figures for the Wildcats with 14 points and KiShawn Pritchett handed out a career-high 10 assists.
Davidson shot 56.5 percent after intermission to finish at 43.8 percent, while limiting the Billikens to just six second-half field goals and a 37.8 percent clip for the game.
Davell Roby paced Saint Louis (7-8, 0-2 A-10) with 11 points.
In addition to holding Davidson to 0-for-12 from behind the arc in the opening half, the Billikens closed the period on a 15-4 run to lead 33-22 at the break.
The Wildcats jumped out to an 8-2 to advantage before Aldridge and Pritchett had to go to the bench due to foul trouble.
