DAVIDSON, N.C. – Kellan Grady scored a game-high 19 points and Davidson held George Washington to just 32.7 percent shooting as the Wildcats won their third straight, 72-45, in Atlantic 10 men's basketball Wednesday at Belk Arena.
Peyton Aldridge (15), Jon Axel Gudmundsson (14) and KiShawn Pritchett (11) also scored in double figures for Davidson (8-7, 3-1 A-10), which shot 60 percent after intermission to finish at 53.6 percent.
Grady scored 15 points in the opening half as the Wildcats raced out to a 19-6 advantage before carrying a 29-17 lead into the break.
Davidson used an 18-6 spurt late to push its lead to as many as 29 with under a minute to play.
Will Magarity and Gudmundsson grabbed 9 rebounds each for the Wildcats, who controlled the glass, 37-27.
Yuta Watanabe and Terry Nolan, Jr. were the lone George Washington (8-9, 1-3 A-10) players in double digits with 12 and 10, respectively.
