-- The 2017-18 season marks the 110th in the history of Davidson men's basketball.
-- The Wildcats were picked sixth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, while senior Peyton Aldridge was tabbed preseason all-conference.
-- The Wildcats return four starters from last year's team that finished 17-15 overall.
-- A date with the defending National Champions, as many as 10 NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, 18 conference games, and trip to Honolulu, Hawai'i for the Diamond Head Classic, highlight the 2017-18 schedule.
-- Aldridge ranked among league leaders in scoring (20.5/3rd), rebounding (8.2/4th), field-goal percentage (.495/11th), free-throw percentage (.833/7th) 3-point field-goal percentage (.409/4th), 3-pointers made (70/7th), 3-pointers per game (2.2/7th) and minutes played (36.9/4th) in 2016-17.
-- In addition to 12 letterwinners returning, Davidson welcomes the addition of newcomers Carter Collins (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill), Bates Jones (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin), Kellan Grady (Boston, Mass./Northfield Mount Hermon) and Luke Frampton (Poca, W.Va./Poca).
-- In three seasons in the Atlantic 10, the Wildcats have totaled 32 wins, while reaching the tournament semifinals in each of the first three seasons.
-- Head Coach Bob McKillop is entering his 29th season at the helm.
-- The 10-time Conference Coach of the Year has won more games in Davidson and league history than any other coach thanks to an all-time mark of 533-328.
-- Entering the 2017-18 campaign, his victory total ranks 23rd on the NCAA's list of Division I winningest active coaches.
-- McKillop also ranks fifth among active coaches on the NCAA's list of most seasons with their current school.
-- McKillop along with TV analysts Bill Raftery and Doris Burke were chosen for the 2017 Lapchick Character Award, which he received earlier this month.

-- Three members of McKillop's staff are Davidson graduates.
-- Kevin Kuwik, who spent the last six seasons at Dayton, joined the staff in August as the Director of Operations.

-- The Wildcats have advanced to postseason play six of the last seven years and 11 of the last 13.

Season Openers
-- Davidson has an all-time record of 72-32 (.692) in season openers.
-- Under head coach Bob McKillop, the Wildcats hold a mark of 14-14 in season openers.

Aldridge Named to Olson Award Watch List
-- Peyton Aldridge has been named to the 2017-18 Lute Olson Award Preseason Watch List.
-- The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I player who has played at least two seasons.
-- The 2017-18 Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award will be announced on March 31, 2018 at the CollegeInsider.com Awards Event in San Antonio, site of the 2018 NCAA Final Four.
