HARRISONBURG, Va.  — Davidson saw its season-high 11-match win streak come to an end Sunday afternoon after James Madison blanked the Wildcats 4-0 in women's tennis at Hillside Courts.

Davidson suffered just its third defeat in 17 matches this year and were one win away from matching the 2005 squad for the longest winning streak since 1978. James Madison moved to 14-5 on the season and 6-1 vs. the 'Cats since the first meeting in 1982.

In addition to the team's overall win streak coming to an end, there were a few individual Wildcats who saw their own personal win streaks stopped as well. The doubles duo of Anna Catharine Feaster and Ally Sexton dropped a 6-4 match at No. 1 doubles for their first defeat in 11 matches. The 11-match win streak was the longest dating back to 2003.

In singles action, Ava Todd (3-6, 0-6) and Megan Scholvinck (3-6, 1-6) saw their three and two-match win streaks halted at No. 2 and 4 positions, respectively.

Since their singles matches went unfinished, Feaster (four), Gabrielle Centenari (three) and Jenna Brunner (six) kept their own winning streaks intact.

Davidson continues its five-match road trip by facing cross-county rival Charlotte, April 8 at 3 p.m.
