DAVIDSON, N.C. – Peyton Aldridge scored 24 points and Brian Sullivan added 21 to lead Davidson to an 83-79 victory over Richmond in Atlantic 10 men's basketball action Tuesday evening at Belk Arena.
 
The Wildcats, who were without Jack Gibbs, Jordan Barham and Matt Williams due to an illness, shot 53.8 percent overall, drilled 11 3-pointers and finished 16-of-19 at the charity stripe.
 
Rusty Reigel added a season-high 14 points, while Nathan Ekwu finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds for Davidson (15-9, 7-6 A-10), which has won 32 of its last 34 at home.
 
After Richmond (14-11, 6-7 A-10) reeled off six straight points to go up, 62-57, the Wildcats responded with an 18-4 streak capped off by one of Sullivan's five treys, to take the lead for good. Davidson led by as many as nine, 75-66, with just over two minutes to play.
 
T.J. Cline led three Spiders in double figures with a game-high 25 points. Terry Allen and ShawnDre' Jones also went over the 10-point plateau with 17 and 13, respectively.
 
Davidson finished with a 33-26 advantage on the glass.
 
The two teams traded runs early before the Spiders went to the half up, 40-37.

Davidson will continue its three-game homestand Saturday with a 2 p.m. nationally-televised (NBCSN) contest against Saint Joseph's.
