• Davidson will begin play in the 2015 Gotham Classic Wednesday with an 8:30 p.m. contest against Eastern Washington at Belk Arena.
• In addition to their Dec. 20 meeting with Pitt at Madison Square Garden, the Wildcats will host Western Carolina (Dec. 12) and Morehead State (Dec. 23) as part of the event, which features 10 games with all five teams playing each other.
• Davidson enters 5-1 following a 98-65 setback at No. 9/9 North Carolina over the weekend.
• On Monday, junior Jack Gibbs was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the second time this season.
• It marks the fifth time Gibbs has been selected A-10 Player of the Week in his career.
• Gibbs continues to lead the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 24.6 points per game, which ranks fourth nationally.
• Brian Sullivan (16.5), Peyton Aldridge (16.0), and Jordan Barham (12.3) are also averaging double figures after six games.
• Davidson is fifth in the latest NCAA Men's Basketball RPI.
