Kalinoski Scores 1000th Point; 'Cats Cruise to Win

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Tyler Kalinoski hit the 1,000th-point plateau and Jordan Barham paced four Davidson players in double figures with a career-high 21 points as the Wildcats cruised to an 89-54 victory over Saint Louis on Saturday evening at Belk Arena.
A senior from Overland Park, Kan., Kalinoski became the 46th player in school history to hit the milestone, while adding 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Barham, who has been a key contributor for the 'Cats off the bench this season, finished 8-of-12 from the floor to go along with nine rebounds in 19 minutes.
Davidson (11-3, 2-1 A-10), which led by as many as 38 points late in the contest, shot 69.6 percent in the second half to finish at 55.2 percent, including 12-for-22 from long range.
In addition to Brian Sullivan scoring all 18 of his points in the first half, Davidson raced out to a 27-11 lead capped off by Kalinoski's 1,000th career point, a 3-pointer from the left wing. The Wildcats' stretched their margin in the opening period to as many as 23 before going to the break up, 39-25.
Coming off a 19-point performance at nationally-ranked VCU, Sullivan started 6-for-6 from the floor, including four straight triples.
Jack Gibbs, the reigning Conference Player of the Week, also hit double digits for the 'Cats scoring 12 points, while handing out eight assists.
Milik Yarbrough and Davell Roby were the lone Billikens in double figures with 18 and 11, respectively.
As a team, the Wildcats finished with 22 assists on 32 made field goals, while out-rebounding Saint Louis (8-8, 0-3 A-10), 40-28.
The Billikens shot 40.4 percent and were just 3-of-19 from behind the 3-point line.
Davidson returns to action Wednesday evening with a 7 p.m. tip at UMass.
