DAVIDSON, N.C.  — The Davidson women's tennis dropped a 7-0 home decision Saturday afternoon to rival Furman as part of Senior Day at the Covington Tennis Courts in women's Southern Conference tennis action.
 
The Wildcats concluded their regular season with a 9-11 record and 2-8 in SoCon action. Furman finished out at 13-8 overall, winning 12 of its last 15 matches. The Paladins SoCon mark went to 8-2.
 
Prior to the match, Stephani Synn, Catherine Wood and Frizzi Bschorer were honored as they played their final home matches of their careers.
 
Synn teamed with Nisha Crouser to give the Wildcats their lone win on the afternoon, an 8-4 victory in doubles action. The duo ran their doubles mark to 9-7 at the No. 2 spot and 5-5 in league play.
 
Playing both doubles and singles was Wood. The senior fell 8-3 at No. 3 doubles with Elise Held and then dropped a super tie-breaker to Amanda Murray at No. 4 singles. Wood opened the match with a 6-4 victory, but fell 6-0 in the second set and then lost 10-6 in the super tie-breaker.
 
Junior Bschorer, who will graduate early, fell 6-2, 6-0 in her singles match at no. 6.
 
Crouser went to a super tie-breaker, before falling 10-7 at No. 3 singles. The junior split her first two sets, 7-6, 4-6.
 
Davidson will now gear up for the SoCon Tournament in Elon, N.C., April 18-21.
