• Davidson hosts Vanderbilt in non-conference action at Belk Arena Wednesday night.
• The game will be televised live on ESPN3 with Darren Goldwater and Dean Keener calling the action.
• It's BlackOut Belk Arena, and fans are encouraged to wear black. Fans can buy BlackOut Belk t-shirts for $10 at 'Cats on Main, the Campus Store and at the game.
• Proceeds from t-shirt sales benefit the David Burns Family Memorial Trust.
• David Burns was a four-year Davidson basketball lettermen from 1995-98, who passed away in October at the age of 34.
• The Wildcats have won 16 of their last 20, dating back to last season. Davidson is coming off an 86-65 Southern Conference victory over Furman last Saturday.
• The Wildcats are off to their best start since the 2008-09 season, when they began the campaign 8-1.
• Davidson returns seven of its top eight scorers and four starters from last season. Players who accounted for 81 percent of the team's scoring and 87 percent of the team's rebounding are back in uniform this year.
JP Kuhlman and Jake Cohen were selected preseason All-SoCon by the league's coaches. Both players have been starters for the bulk of their careers.
• Kuhlman is 88 points away from 1,000 for his career, and Cohen is 98 points shy.
• The 'Cats, who have posted nine straight winning seasons, were picked to win the SoCon South Division in the league's Coaches and Media Polls.
• The 'Cats have won 28 of their last 30 against non-conference competition at Belk Arena and are 36-5 since 2003.
• Davidson is 4-0 at home this season.
• This is the first time Davidson has hosted a team from on of the “Big 6” conferences (ACC, Big East, Big 12, Pac 12, Big 10, SEC) in Belk Arena since Dec. 7, 2005, when the 'Cats beat Missouri 82-73.
• Davidson hosted North Carolina (L, 72-68) and Duke (L, 79-73) in Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte in 2007 and NC State (W, 72-67) in 2008.
• This is Davidson's last home game until hosting Penn Dec. 29. The Wildcats open a three-game road trip at Charlotte Saturday.
• Vanderbilt is coming off consecutive tough-luck overtime losses at then No. 6 Louisville (L, 62-60) and against then No. 11 Xavier (L, 82-70) at home.
• The Commodores, who returned all five starters from last season, were ranked seventh in both the Preseason Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Polls.
• Vanderbilt was picked second to Kentucky in the Preseason SEC Poll, while John Jenkins and Jeffery Taylor were named first-team All-SEC.
• Festus Ezeli was named preseason second-team All-SEC but has not played this season due to injury.

Series History
• Vanderbilt leads the all-time series, which began in 1967, 4-1 and has won the last two.
• Last season's 80-52 loss at No. 24 Vanderbilt was Davidson's most lopsided loss since a 75-47 setback at eighth-ranked Duke in 2006.
• Before that meeting, the schools had not played since 1985.
• The 'Cats and Commodores played twice in 1967, and Vandy won both meetings. The Commodores won 81-79 in overtime at home Dec. 12, and then defeated Davidson 80-67 later in the month at the Sugar Bowl Tournament.
• Vanderbilt has been ranked in the top-25 in three of the five meetings.
• Last Meeting: Jeffery Taylor led four Vanderbilt players in double figures in the scoring column with 22 points, and the Commodores held Davidson to 29 percent shooting from the field to earn an 80-52 win over the Wildcats in Memorial Gymnasium.
Chris Czerapowicz led the Wildcats with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Nik Cochran posted 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. JP Kuhlman added nine points and four rebounds.
• Taylor was 6-for-10 from the floor and 9-for-10 from the charity stripe for Vanderbilt. Brad Tinsley collected 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Steve Tchiengang scored 14. Festus Ezeli added 12 points and four blocked shots.

• The Wildcats rank third in the nation in team free-throw percentage (.797).
• Davidson has made 20 or more free throws in three games this season.
• Davidson hit all of its free throws (14-for-14) against Duke Nov. 18, for the first time since 2008 (Appalachian State, 6-for-6).
• The Wildcats have led at halftime in all seven games this season.
• Davidson did not give up a 3-pointer at UNCW Nov. 26 (0-for-3).

In-Season Honors
JP Kuhlman was named SoCon Player of the Week Nov. 29, after scoring 21 points to lead Davidson to a 70-67 victory at UNC Wilmington.
