Layup Line
• Davidson opens a two-game homestand with a contest against South Division foe The Citadel Wednesday in Belk Arena.
• The game marks the beginning of a stretch where the Wildcats play five games in 11 days.
• Davidson had the weekend off and has not played since a 77-70 setback at Elon Jan. 20. The Wildcats are 1-6 in their last seven.
• The 'Cats are 4-2 at home this season, but 1-2 in home SoCon contests.
• Davidson coach Bob McKillop is nine wins shy of his 400th career victory. He is slated to coach his 1,000th game at Wofford Feb. 9 (344 as a high school coach).
• Davidson is in fifth place in the South while The Citadel is in fourth. Davidson earned a 68-53 win over the Bulldogs in McAlister Field House Dec. 4.
• The Citadel has won its last three and is coming off a 68-46 home victory against Western Carolina last Saturday. The Bulldogs have held each of their opponents to 63 points or less during the win streak.
• The Bulldogs are 1-9 on the road, including 1-3 in league games.
• Cameron Wells leads the team in scoring with 17 points a game to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Mike Groselle averages 10.9 points and a team-leading 5.9 rebounds, and Zach Urbanus averages 10.8 points and hits 39 percent of his 3-point attempts.

• The Wildcats lead the all-time series, which began in the 1925-26 season, 92-44.
• Davidson has won 17 of the last 18 overall against the Bulldogs.
• The 'Cats are 51-9 against the Bulldogs at home, 12-2 in Belk Arena and 26-8 under Bob McKillop.
• In the season's first game, Jake Cohen recorded 21 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and Davidson held The Citadel to 33 percent shooting from the field in a 68-53 win at McAlister Field House
• Cohen was 5-for-8 from the floor, 9-of-10 from the free-throw line and also recorded three blocked shots. JP Kuhlman tallied 13 points and four assists for the 'Cats, and Tom Droney netted 10 points.
• Mike Groselle led the Bulldogs with 13 points, and Zach Urbanus had 12 points, seven boards and five assists. Austin Dahn scored 11.
• The Wildcats held the Bulldogs to 19-of-58 from the floor in the game and 9-of-31 in the second half, and Davidson forced 18 turnovers, scoring 21 points off of the miscues. The Citadel stayed in the game by shooting 6-of-14 from 3-point range and grabbing 18 offensive rebounds.
• Brendan McKillop scored both the game-tying and game-winning points as Davidson claimed a 67-63 overtime win over The Citadel in the last meeting in Belk Arena.
• The game went to overtime knotted at 57. The Citadel took a four-point lead early in the extra frame, but a three-ball from McKillop brought Davidson back within one. Cameron Wells answered for the Bulldogs with his second jumper in the period, but Will Archambault found Cohen underneath for a lay-in with 1:44 remaining, leaving the Bulldogs with a 63-62 advantage.
• Wells got called for traveling on the ensuing possession to return the ball to Davidson. With the shot clock near expiration, McKillop drained a contested 3-pointer from the top of the key with 55 seconds remaining to put the 'Cats on top 65-63.
• The Citadel had two possessions in the final minute but the 'Cats got defensive stops on both. Following a defensive rebound, Cohen sank both free throw attempts with two seconds remaining to ice the win.

• Elon has won the last two against Davidson.
• The 'cats dropped to 1-8 on the road.
• Brendan McKillop needs 10 3-pointers to move into the top-5 at Davidson.

• Davidson has been within six points or less (two possessions) of its opponents in the last five minutes in seven of its 11 losses this season, including the last three. The 'Cats have been within three points or less (one possession) in the last five minutes of five of their losses.

• Cohen was named to the MSG?Holiday Festival All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.5 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in two games.
