Layup Line
• Davidson returns to action following the Holiday break by hosting Saint Joseph's (Maine). It's just the third home game of the season for the 'Cats.
• The contest opens a stretch in which the Wildcats play eight games in 22 days, including four contests in the next 10 days.
• The 'Cats have won 24 of their last 26 against non-conference competition at Belk Arena and are 32-5 since 2003.
• The Wildcats are coming off a 1-1 outing in the MSG Holiday Festival in Madison Square Garden Dec. 20-21. Davidson fell 62-57 to St. John's and defeated St. Francis (N.Y.) 76-69.
• Three 'Cats are averaging double figures in the scoring column, led by Jake Cohen's 14.8 points a game. JP Kuhlman averages 13.2 points, and Brendan McKillop averages 11.3. Cohen also leads the team in rebounding, averaging 6.7, while Clint Mann averages 5.2.
• The Wildcats have 10 underclassman on the team (six freshman, four sophomores) and feature just one senior and four juniors.
• Davidson is 2-0 at home this season.
• Davidson coach Bob McKillop is 11 wins shy of his 400th career victory.
• Davidson was picked to finish third in the SoCon South Division again this season, while Saint Joseph's was picked second in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
• The Monks return three starters from a 2009-10 squad that posted a 19-7 overall record and a 14-4 conference mark.
• Saint Joseph's is coming off a 77-71 loss in their last contest, Dec. 11, at Suffolk.
• Chris Petzy and Tyler Kelley lead the team in scoring as both are averaging 17.4 points a game.
• Zach O'Brien averages 14 points, five rebounds and 5.1 assists.
Series History
• Davidson leads the all-time series 2-0, but the teams have not met since a 98-78 Wildcat win in 1992.
• Both meetings have been in Belk Arena.

• Cohen was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 15.5 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
• Mann's point total was also a season and career high.
• Davidson improved to 3-2 in Madison Square Garden since 2008.

• Jake Cohen has made 28 straight free throws, dating back to the game at The Citadel Dec. 4. The school record is 41, set by Stephen Curry in 2007-08.
• Davidson has held its opponents to under 40 percent shooting in five games and won all five.
• Davidson began the season by playing 10 of its first 13 games on the road. The 'Cats home opener was the sixth game of the year, the latest during the 22-year tenure of head coach Bob McKillop.
