DAVIDSON, N.C –
Stephen Curry connected on a season-high seven 3-pointers on his way to 33 points to help lead Davidson to a 79-56 Southern Conference victory over Wofford Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd at John M. Belk Arena.

The win was Davidson's 39th-straight SoCon regular season victory and its 26th consecutive triumph at Belk Arena.

Curry scored 30-plus for the 25th time in his career, breaking the school record held by all-time leading scorer John Gerdy. It was the 10th time he's scored 30 or more this season, which is one shy of his own school mark, set in 2007-08. He added game highs of seven rebounds and seven assists.

Will Archambault contributed 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field, and Andrew Lovedale posted 12 points and six boards for the Wildcats (16-3, 9-0 SoCon). Junior Salters led the Terriers (7-9, 3-4 SoCon) with 16 points with Brad Loesing adding 12.

Davidson jumped out to an early 20-6 lead to begin the game, forcing Wofford into missing its first seven 3-point attempts. After the Terriers closed the gap to 27-23, Curry knocked down one of his six first-half 3-pointers, sparking a 19-6 Davidson run to close out the half.

In the second half, Davidson picked off where it left off, stretching the lead to 24 on an Archambault 3-pointer in the corner to cap off a run of six unanswered points by the 'Cats.

Wofford (7-9, 3-4) never got the lead under 20 points in the final 16:42 of play with the Davidson defense continuing to force the Terriers into contested shots throughout the frame. The Terriers connected on 1-of-5 second-half 3-point attempts, and shot 38 percent (19-for-50) from the field in the game.

The 'Cats forced Wofford into 14 turnovers, which they turned into 18 points, while only giving the ball up eight times. Davidson outscored the Terriers by a 32-14 margin in the paint, with Steve Rossiter and Ben Allison combining for 10 to go along with Lovedale's 12.

The Wildcats will hit the road for their next two games, beginning with a trip to Chattanooga to take on the Mocs Jan. 28, at 7 p.m.

NOTES: Davidson's home court win streak is now the third-longest in Division I after Notre Dame saw its 45-game home winning streak snapped on Saturday night… It was the 11th time this season that the Wildcats have held an opponent under 40 percent shooting… Davidson hasn't trailed since 2:10 into the game against The Citadel Jan. 10, an active streak of 237:50… It was the fourth straight sellout at Belk Arena, and the eighth in the last 10 games.
