Layup Line
• Davidson travels to Norman, Okla., for the opening rounds of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off.
• It's the Wildcats' third appearance in the NIT?Season Tip-Off, and Davidson is 0-2 in the tournament.
• The 'Cats, who are the fifth seed in the tournament, take on James Madison Monday night in the first round.
• Davidson will meet either Mississippi Valley State or Oklahoma in its second game Tuesday at a time to be determined.
• Under the new tournament format, Davidson is guaranteed to play four games on consecutive weeks. First and second-round games will be played at the home campus sites of the four highest-seeded teams.
• The winners of those sites will move on to New York, and the remaining 12 teams will play third and fourth-round games Nov. 24 and 25. These games will be played on the home campus sites of the three highest remaining seeds.
• Participating teams will not play any team twice, and third and fourth rounds will be assigned to the most geographically compatible site possible.
• It's Davidson's first appearance in the tournament since 2003-04. The 'Cats fell 89-58 at Texas Tech that season.
• The Wildcats also played in the tournament in 1999 and lost 89-79 to Siena.
• Davidson is coming off a 107-83 season-opening victory over Guilford Friday night at Belk Arena.
• The Wildcats have won 26 of their last 27 games, dating back to Jan. 3, 2008.
• Davidson returns 11 lettermen and three starters from last year's squad, including four of its top six scorers.
• This will be the season opener for James Madison and the debut for head coach Matt Brady. Brady came to the school from Marist, where he posted a 70-53 record in four seasons and led the Red Foxes to an NIT?appearance in 2007.
• The Dukes return four starters, including three seniors, from the 2007-08 team, which posted a 13-17 record.
Series History vs. JMU
• The Wildcats and Dukes have met just once on the hardwood with Davidson posting an 87-69 victory Dec. 30, 1997, in the Fiesta Bowl Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
• Mark Donnelly led Davidson in that game with 23 points and eight rebounds.
• Davor Halbauer scored 13, while Chadd Holmes and Ben Ebong netted 10 and 11, respectively.
• Davidson shot 50 percent for the game and canned 10-of-22 from long distance.

• The Wildcats have never played Mississippi Valley State or Oklahoma.
Last Time Out
• Stephen Curry tallied 29 points, 10 assists and nine steals to lead Davidson to a 107-83 victory over Guilford before a sellout crowd of 5,223 in its season opener at Belk Arena Friday night.
• Andrew Lovedale matched a career high with 16 points to go along with five rebounds as four Wildcats scored in double figures.
• Brendan McKillop netted a career-high 14 points, while Bryant Barr scored 11. Max Paulhus Gosselin registered eight steals to go along with nine points.
• Both teams shot over 50 percent from the field, and the Quakers hit 52 percent from long range (12-for-23). Turnovers were the difference as Davidson had a school record 25 steals as a team and forced 39 Guilford turnovers. The Wildcats outscored the Quakers 55-12 in points off turnovers.
• Davidson extended a 12-point halftime lead to 31 points with a 22-5 run through the first 9:14 of the second half. Curry capped the run with a conventional three-point play that made the score 80-49.
• The margin would grow to as many as 39 points on Will Archambault's 3-pointer that made the score 94-55 with 8:16 to go.
Claw Marks
• Stephen Curry registered 29 points, 10 assists and nine steals in the season opener vs. Guilford. There has been only one triple double in Davidson history, which was recorded by John Falconi (17 pts, 12, reb, 11 asst) against Loyola Dec. 28, 1973. It was Curry's third career double-double and 48th game with 20 or more points.
• Curry has hit a 3-pointer in all 71 games he has played in at Davidson.
• Andrew Lovedale matched a career high with 16 points vs. Guilford, and Brendan McKillop scored a career-high 14 against the Quakers.
• Davidson set a school record with 25 steals against Guilford. Curry and Max Paulhus Gosselin combined for 17.
• Including last year's season finale against Appalachian State, Davidson has sold out its last two games in Belk Arena.
