'Cats Recognized As '25-'26 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, Teachman On Scholar-Athlete List

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Davidson men's track & field team landed on the 2025-26 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team list, the national office announce this week.
The Wildcats earned a 3.6 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. This is the sixth-highest grade-point average out of 211 programs on the list.
The cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for?Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including?the most recent grading period, certifiable by either NCAA Faculty Rep or NCAA Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office.
John Teachman was also recognized for his individual accomplishments both in the classroom and in javelin competition. The two-time A-10 javelin champion was named to the Men's All-Academic Scholar Athlete list. Success in the classroom and outside of the classroom is critical to being considered for this honor.
