
Weltzien Finishes Fourth in 110mH, 'Cats Close Out VertKlasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Corbin Weltzien highlighted the men's track and field team on the second day of the VertKlasse Meeting. Weltzien finished fourth overall in the 110mH with a personal-best time of 14.65.
Weltzien's previous PR was 14.92 last week at the Davidson Relays. He remains the third-best performer in this event in program history only behind Jayden Smith and Jordan Benson.
Several other Wildcats posted season-best times. Harry Carter posted a season-best in the 800m with a time of 1:57.38. Owen Sanderson ran 52.16 in the 400m. Sanderson is now the second-fastest Wildcat in this event in program history only behind Bryce Anthony. Thomas Christian ran a personal-best time of 22.91 in the 200m. Finally, Eddie Brown threw 14.40m in the shot put.

Davidson is set to compete in the Duke Invite next weekend from April 9-11.
