Heiny Breaks Hammer Throw School Record at Charlotte Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Masson Heiny reset the school record again in the hammer throw on the first day of the Charlotte Invitational. After a 52.04m school record mark last weekend, Heiny threw 54.12m on Friday evening.
On the track, other Wildcats produced season-best times. Jack Flugstad ran a personal-best time of 15:58.68 in the 5000m. Eli Roth and Jack Fischer ran season-best times in the 800m. Roth ran 1:52.82 and Fischer ran 1:53.54.

The Wildcats wrap up the Charlotte Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The A-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set for Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 in Fairfax, Va.
