
School Records and Personal Bests Highlight Wake Forest Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sineth Andrabadu set new program-best times in the 100m and 200m on Friday afternoon at the Wake Forest Invite. Andrabadu ran the fastest time out of the entire field in the 100m (10.49) and ran 20.99 in the 200m. The previous 200m school record, 21.33, had stood since 2018.
In addition to Andrabadu, Masson Heiny also set another school-record mark in the hammer throw. Heiny competed on Thursday and posted a mark of 52.04.
Daniel Cortese, Quinn Swanton, AJ Kurtz, Tyler Thompson, Malcolm Cook, and John Cooper all posted personal-best times in their respective events.
Cortese ran 3:48.33 in the 1500m and won his heat. This performance makes Cortese the fourth-fastest Wildcat in this event. Swanton also ran the 1500m and posted a time of 3:53.62.
Kurtz ran a personal-best time of 10.74 in the 100m. Thompson put down a time of 49.62 in the 400m, also a personal best. Cook recorded a PR of 21.48 in the 200m.
Carter Calliott and Connor Rittenhouse picked up season-best times in the 100m and 400m respectively.
Cooper ran 14:16.35 for a PR in the 5000m and remains the sixth-fastest Wildcat in this event.

The Wildcats are set to compete at Charlotte next weekend on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. This is the final meet ahead of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 in Fairfax, Va.
