Cooper's PR in 3000m, Clark's Shot Put Performance Highlight Day Two at JDL

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - John Cooper and Brady Clark shined for the Wildcats on the final day at the JDL Fast Track on Saturday. John Cooper set a PR in the 3000m with a time of 8:18.05. Cooper posted the sixth-fastest time in this event. His previous PR was 8:22 in the 3000m. Clark threw 15.10m in the shot put and is now the fourth-best performer in school history in this event.
In addition to Cooper's performance, the distance group produced some other solid results. Daniel Cortese recorded a time of 4:16.26 in the mile and won his heat. Eli Roth improved his 1000m time by two seconds with a 2:30.59 mark on Saturday. Roth recorded the fourth-fastest time in the 1000m.

The Wildcats are set to participate in the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston, Mass. next weekend as well as compete at the JDL College Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.
