Hall Earns A-10 Pitcher of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON — Davidson right-hander Ed Hall has been named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The honor is the first of Hall's career, and he's the second Wildcat in as many weeks to be recognized by the A-10, following Matt Manjooran's Rookie of the Week selection.
In Friday's 1-0 win over Fairfield, Hall threw five innings, struck out a career-best 10, allowed two hits and walked one, while earning the save.
"Ed's had two great outings this year," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "He's been really successful against two veteran lineups that expect to be in the Regionals at the end of the season. He's continuing to improve, and it's been fun to watch."
In two appearances, Hall has an 0.96 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 9.1 innings, while holding opposing hitters to a .125 batting average.
Hall and the Wildcats visit Wofford Tuesday night in the first road game of the season.
