Wildcats Drop Match to NC Central

CARY, N.C. – The Davidson College men's tennis team took a 6-1 road setback against NC Central Sunday afternoon at the Cary Tennis Park.
The loss drops the 'Cats to 2-3 on their young season.
The Eagles opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins on the No. 3 and No.2 courts. The duo of Goyo Hidalgo and Sebastian Carpio Moran took a 7-6 (7-5) victory in the No.1 slot.
The Wildcats were taken down in all singles matches but one as freshman Connor Cole collected his first career Spring season singles win. Cole was victorious in straight sets (6-3, 6-3) defeating Pol Puig Montiel on the No. 4 court.
