Heap Remains Undefeated in SoCon, But ‘Cats Fall to App State

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Despite Davidson's Anderson Heap remaining undefeated in Southern Conference action, the Wildcats fell to Appalachian State, 38-3, Friday evening from inside John M. Belk Arena.

A sophomore from St. Cloud, Fla., Heap got a take down late in overtime to break a 1-1 deadlock and record a 4-1 sudden victory over nationally-ranked Kaiden Keiser to improve to 6-0 in conference duals.

The loss drops Davidson to 5-12 overall and 3-3 in league action, while the Mountaineers improve to 9-5 and remain unbeaten in the SoCon at 6-0.

Davidson will close out the road portion of its schedule with a 4 p.m. dual at The Citadel Sunday afternoon.
