"What a remarkable group representing the 32nd class inducted into the Davidson Athletics Hall of Fame," said Vice President & Director of Athletics Chris Clunie. "This incredible team and these amazing individuals achieved so much while re-writing the Davidson Athletics history books. We look forward to a great celebration and welcoming them into the Hall of Fame."

The induction ceremonies will take place early next year, with details to follow at a later date.

Heather Maloney '03 – Women's Soccer
A two-time All-Southern Conference selection, Heather Maloney finished her standout career as one of Davidson women's soccer's all-time greats. Maloney ranks second in program history with 95 career total points. In addition, her 36 goals scored and 23 assists ranks third all-time at Davidson. In 2000, Maloney set single-season records for goals scored (19), assists (10) and total points (48). Maloney was also an all-tournament and CoSIDA All-District selection.

Bob McKillop (1989-2022), Head Coach, Men's Basketball
A Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame nominee, McKillop, 75, is the most successful coach in school and league history and concluded his illustrious career ranked 54th on the NCAA Division I wins list with 634 victories.

During the 2021-22 campaign, McKillop led the Wildcats to their second-most wins in a single season, going 27-7 overall, which included a program-best 15-3 mark in Atlantic 10 play. In addition to earning his 11th (9 – SoCon, 2 – A-10) Conference Coach of the Year honor, McKillop's final campaign was capped by the school's second NCAA Tournament at-large bid.
In all, McKillop-coached teams reached postseason play 19 times—the NCAA Tournament in 1998, 2002, 2006-08, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2022, the NIT in 1994, 1996, 2005, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2021, and the CBI in 2011.

The 2007-08 NABC National Coach of the Year led Davidson to the 2008 NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional Championship game with victories over three nationally ranked foes—Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisconsin. The Wildcats' unbelievable run ended with a two-point loss to eventual National Champion Kansas, and Davidson finished the campaign with a final ranking of ninth in the ESPN/USA Today Poll.

Along with tying the school's single-season record for wins with 29, McKillop and the 'Cats strung together 25 consecutive victories, the longest streak in the nation, before falling to the Jayhawks on the doorstep of the Final Four.

The Wildcats hit the 20-win plateau 17 times under McKillop's leadership, while seven teams won 25 games or more.

Laura Murray '14 – Women's Basketball
Laura Murray is the all-time record holder in points with 1,880 as well as three-pointers made and attempted at 222-for-647, and field goals attempted with 1,623 for Davidson Women's Basketball. Additionally, she was a three-time All-SoCon First-Team selection (Coaches & Media) and three-time All-SoCon Second-Team (Coaches & Media) selection. This marked the second Wildcat in program history to earn First-Team honors three times by the coaches.

She finished her career in the top-15 in the record books in points per game (14.5, 7th), field goals made (644, 2nd), three-point percentage (.343, 10th), free throws made and attempted (370-484, 2nd in both), rebounds (547, 10th), assists (337, 4th) and steals (250, 3rd). In her senior season, she set three single-season Wildcat records with 617 points, 487 field goals attempted and 196 free throws attempted. She became the first Wildcat in program history to be named to the SoCon All-Tournament First Team three times and guided the 'Cats to two straight SoCon finals.

Scott Patrick '15 – Wrestling
A two-time Southern Conference champion and NCAA qualifier at 184 pounds (2014 & 2015), Scott Patrick is the first wrestler in program history to record multiple wins at the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Patrick was a two-time all-conference (2012 – All-Freshman | 2015 – All-Conference) selection, while finishing his senior campaign 14-5 overall and 6-0 in SoCon matches. As a junior, Patrick recorded a 22-5 record (.814), which still ranks among Davidson's single-season best.

Mike Spann '69 – Golf, Men's Basketball
A two-sport lettermen, Spann played a season-and-a-half for Lefty Driesell on the basketball court, but he starred on the golf course as a three-time National qualifier. After averaging 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in his 24 games for the Wildcats on the court as a sophomore, Spann won the individual title at the Southern Conference Golf Tournament by four strokes in leading Davidson to its second consecutive league title. He went on to participate in the NCAA Tournament that year for the first time. As a junior, Spann helped the 'Cats to their third straight SoCon title and became the only Davidson golfer to finish among the top 20 at the NCAA Tournament, placing 20th with a four-round score of 289. In his senior year of 1969, the Wildcats finished in a tie for third with Spann leading the team with a 148, good for fourth place and another trip to the NCAA Tournament. He was named Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Honorable Mention in 1968.

1992 Men's Soccer Final Four Team
In 1992, the Wildcats recorded a program-best 17 wins and captured the hearts of the Davidson campus and community en route to a NCAA Division I Final Four appearance. Davidson advanced on penalty kicks through the first and second rounds of the tournament with wins over UNCC and Coastal Carolina. The 'Cats qualified for the semifinals with a 1-0 overtime victory against North Carolina State and went on to host the Final Four. The Wildcats played 552 minutes of soccer during the four tournament games, which works out to over six regulation games. Davidson fell 3-2 in overtime to San Diego in the semifinal game. Head Coach Charlie Slagle was honored as Division I National Coach of the Year.
