DAVIDSON, N.C. – Maddy Bilinovic has been added to the Davidson volleyball coaching staff, head coach Chris Willis announced Thursday.
"We're thrilled to announce that Maddy is joining the Davidson Volleyball program," said Willis. "She brings a wealth of elite experience to our staff and athletes and will be training first-contact and defensive systems. Beyond her technical knowledge, I'm excited for her to pass along her mental approach to the game. I can't imagine a better fit."
Bilinovic comes to Davidson after finishing up her collegiate career at Creighton followed by a brief stint with the Orlando Valkyries in the Pro Volleyball Federation. During the 2024 season, she played in 35 matches with the Blue Jays and was the team's libero for every single set. She was named an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, a Third Team All-American by VolleyballMag.com and landed on the All-Big East Team as well as the AVCA All-West Region Team. That 2024 squad made an NCAA Regional Final, the first for Creighton since 2016.
Prior to the 2024 season at Creighton, Bilinovic spent four years at Penn State, where she played in 337 sets across 103 matches and helped the Nittany Lions secure 80 wins along with four NCAA Tournament berths. She recorded double-digit digs nine times during the 2023 campaign and served an ace on match point in a five-set win at No. 15 Kansas in the NCAA Second Round.
Over a five-year collegiate career, Bilinovic collected 1,231 digs, 277 assists and 90 service aces. She also earned three Academic All-Big Ten awards.
Originally from Independence, Ohio, Bilinovic helped lead Independence High School to two Ohio state runner-up finishes. She is the school's all-time leader with 1,383 digs and 232 aces.
