Atlantic 10 Announces 2025-26 Women's Basketball Pairings
6/17/2025 11:03:00 AM | Women's Basketball
WASHINGTON - The Atlantic 10 announced the 18-game conference schedule pairings for the upcoming 2025-26 women's basketball season Tuesday morning, setting the stage for home-and-home competitions for Davidson against Saint Louis, VCU, Fordham, Richmond and tournament champion Saint Joseph's.
The remaining eight contest will consist of the Wildcats hosting Duquesne, Dayton, George Mason and George Washington while making trips to face Rhode Island, Loyola Chicago, La Salle and St. Bonaventure.
Davidson is coming off of the heels of one of the program's most successful years after compiling a 19-13 regular-season record and a 13-5 Atlantic 10 mark. The 19 wins tied the Wildcats' third-most single-season wins in program history while the 13-5 conference mark was the best for the 'Cats since joining the A-10 in the 2014-15 season.
The Wildcats' postseason saw them make their first postseason tournament since 2022-23 (consolation bracket champion in the Women's Basketball Invite [WBI]) after receiving an invitation to the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament and drawing James Madison University in the first round.
Following a wildly successful 2024-25 campaign, Davidson most recently completed its four-member incoming signee class compiled of Asha Nightingale (Forward | Victoria, Australia), Elena Alvarez Castellanos (Guard | Pamplona, Spain), Ines Garcia Monje (Forward | Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) and transfer Angeliki Ziaka (Guard | Athens, Greece [University of San Francisco]).
Returning for the Wildcats is Second Team All-Conference guard Charlise Dunn who led the team on both ends of the court with 12.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game a season ago. In a triumphant return from injury in the 23-24 season, the Victoria, Australia native paced the 'Cats from distance as well, draining a team-best 54 3-pointers over 28 games.
Also returning to the upcoming roster is the A-10 All-Rookie team duo of Kyra Bruyndoncx and Candice Lienafa. Bruyndoncx rounded out her debut season with 6.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg while shooting a team-best .857 from the charity stripe while Lienafa averaged 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds with shooting percentages of .554 from the floor and .400 from beyond the arc.
The complete 2024-25 conference schedule with dates and times, as well as national television information, will be released at a later date. The 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be played for the third year in Henrico, Va. from March 4-8 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center.
