DAVIDSON — The second game of Davidson's Atlantic 10 baseball series with George Washington was suspended by lightning late Saturday afternoon and will be concluded Sunday at 12:30 p.m., with the series finale to follow approximately 30 minutes after.

Play was paused twice Saturday because of lightning and ultimately suspended with the Revolutionaries leading 13-8 with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. Davidson's JD Woodall was next to bat, and Gavin Thomas and Noah Jouras were runners at first and third base, respectively.

The game was initially delayed by lightning at 1:41 p.m. in the bottom of the fifth with what proved to be a stoppage of one hour, 10 minutes. The second stoppage came at 4:25 p.m., and the game was called off nearly two hours later.

Jouras had three hits Saturday, while Cider Canon and Eli Putnam had two apiece. Canon, Woodall and Anthony Torreso drove in two runs each.

Starter Wilson Perkins threw five innings and left with the score tied at 5-all.
