‘Cats Continue Play at Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Davidson men's golf team continued their fifth NCAA appearance since 2018, Tuesday at the 2025 NCAA Tallahassee Regional on the Seminole Legacy Golf Club layout.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin at 7:30 a.m. off the first and 10th tees.
After 36 holes of play, Will Davis leads the Wildcats at eight-over par. A senior from Jacksonville, Davis carded a two-over 74 this afternoon to climb 12 spots up the leaderboard.
Joshua Stewart (+9), the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, is one back of Davis. Nate Faulkner (+5), Will Tharin (+11) and Davis Sayman (+16) are also in the Davidson lineup.
The host Seminoles extended their overnight lead to 14 shots clear of Ole Miss. In addition, Florida State's Luke Clanton (-12), who entered fifth nationally, fired his second consecutive six-under 66 to stretch his individual advantage to six over Notre Dame's Jacob Modleski.
Georgia (-6) is 15 back of the Seminoles, followed by New Mexico (-2) and Augusta (-1).
The 14-team regional features eight programs ranked inside the Top-50, including the No. 3 Rebels, No. 11 FSU and No. 15 San Diego State.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 12-14. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Texas is the host institution for the 2025 championships.
