RICHMOND, Va. - The Davidson men's tennis team fell 4-1 in its final regular-season match on the road at Richmond Saturday. 

With the loss, the Wildcats' record moves to 11-10 overall while their Atlantic 10 mark becomes 2-2. 

Senior doubles duo Juan Camilo Perez Gongora and Uddayvir Singh put up a notable fight in doubles action before suffering a narrow 7-6 loss on court two and the Spiders taking the team point with another win on court three. 

Despite Richmond clinching the match with singles victories in the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 positions, freshman Davide Procacci earned the 'Cats' lone point of the contest edging out a 7-5, 7-6 court four triumph. Perez Gongora and Hidalgo were both left unfinished but ahead in their matches 6-3, 2-6, 3-2 and 4-6, 6-3, 3-2 respectively on court two and three.

Davidson will await its final seeding before opening play at the Atlantic 10 Championships from Apr. 23-26 in Orlando, Fla.
