Bonnies Edge Wildcats in Regular Season Finale

DAVIDSON — Connor Kochera scored a game-high 25 points and Reed Bailey added 15, but the Davidson Wildcats came up a shot short to St. Bonaventure, 64-61, in Saturday afternoon's regular season finale inside Belk Arena.
The Wildcats (16-15 overall, 6-12 Atlantic 10) rallied from an 11-point second half deficit and cut to it two points on a Bobby Durkin 3-pointer with 1:06 to play. But two potentially tying hook shots by Bailey missed the mark, and after Bonnie Melvin Council Jr. pushed the lead to three, Durkin's 3-point attempt from the top of the key missed at the buzzer.
The teams played to a 34-all tie at the half after Davidson led by as many as six twice in the first 20 minutes.
The Bonnies (21-10, 9-9) used a 9-0 run in the second half to take a 53-42 lead with 12:21 to play.
Noel Brown scored 16 to lead the Bonnies (21-10, 9-9), while Council added 15.
