‘Cats Wrap Up Season Opener in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Wildcats concluded the first meet of the outdoor track and field season by placing four more competitors in the top 10 of the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Eli Roth finished fourth overall in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.83. He was accompanied by fellow freshman Jack Fischer, who finished eighth with a 1:54.95 time.
Jack Muldoon set a career best time in the 1500 meters, finishing ninth overall after completing a 3:54.45 race. The 4x800 relay team took second place in the Classic with a total time of 7:54.39.
Peter Darst finished tied for 10th in the high jump with a height of 1.91m. Combined with John Teachman's school record performance yesterday the Wildcats tallied two top ten performances in the field.

The Wildcats will return to action on March 29 in the return of the Davidson Relays, taking place on Davidson's campus at the new Lisa and Jeff Case Track & Field complex.
