Sullivan Leads ‘Cats in Queen City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Davidson's Molly Sullivan recorded a personal-best sixth-place finish to lead the women's cross country team at the 2024 Queens City Invitational.
Coming off a ninth-place showing at last week's season opener, Sullivan finished the 5K event in 18:10.37.
Abby Smith, the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week was the next Wildcat to cross the finish line, coming home 11th with a time of 18:18.39.
Right behind the freshman was teammates Clara Schad (18:20.47 | 12th), Mary Shoop (18:26.60 | 13th) and Anne Berquist (18:27.79 | 14th).
Abigail Nasse and Elise Boyse also finished inside the Top-20 for the 'Cats with times of 18:36.62 and 18:43.72, respectively.
The annual event featured 108 competitors.

Davidson will take a two-week break from race action before returning to the course Sept. 28 at the Winthrop Invitational.
