'Cats Make More Records Fall on Third Day of A-10s

HAMPTON, Va. — Davidson swimmers and divers set multiple records and captured some hardware as well on Friday during the third day of competition at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex.
In all, six Davidson records were set, and two of those came with A-10 medals.
Dylan Felt added to his medals collection with a silver in the 200 free, twice improving on the program record he already owned and setting it at 1:33.81.
Andrew Schou took bronze in the 100 breast, also twice topping his own Davidson mark (53.83).
Diver Ben Cutforth placed fourth in the 3-meter event and twice set the program's record for six-dive championship meets, ultimately posting a high score of 345.35.
Leah Sandock set the Davidson record in the 100 back three times Friday: first in prelims, then in finals and then as the leadoff on the Wildcats' 400 medley relay (54.39).
That 400 medley relay also set a Davidson record, as Sandock, Anna Newman, Chale Jacks and Addy Donaldson took fourth with a time of 3:40.72.
To close the night with an exclamation point, the men's 400 medley relay team of Liam McDonough, Schou, Zain Butt and Felt set the school record (3:14.61) while taking sixth.
Other notable performances Friday came from Newman in the 100 breast (4th, 1:01.84), Cynthia Huang in the 400 IM (6th, 4:23.63), Jacks in the 100 fly (8th, 54.59), Jeremy Kemp in the 100 back (8th, 49.27) and James Gourlay in 3M diving (8th, 266.35).

Saturday's action begins with 10 a.m. prelims, with finals set for 6 p.m. Events include the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1650 free, 400 free relay and women's 3-meter diving.
