'Cats Complete Weekend Sweep Over Saint Louis

SAINT LOUIS -- With an offense by committee approach, the Davidson Wildcats swept Saint Louis University in a 3-0 match on Saturday afternoon from inside Chaifetz Pavilion.
Seven 'Cats recorded at least two kills, as Isabel Decker led the way with nine, followed by Emma Slusser (8), Anna Withee (7) and Melanie Tilles (7). After Friday night's season-best offensive performance with a .333 attacking percentage, the Wildcats followed up with a season-high 12 total blocks during Saturday's match.
In addition to Decker's offensive numbers, the senior outside hitter recorded seven block assists and one solo stuff. Tilles led the way with eight block assists, while the middle blocker combined with Decker on a stuff at the net to secure the ultimate 25-23 set three win.
Despite being out-swung by the Billikens 43-41, the Wildcats responded with 15 digs from Jordan Hummel and nine from Decker.
With the win, Davidson improves to 9-11 overall and 5-4 in Atlantic 10 play. The victory also marks the Wildcats' first weekend sweep of an A-10 opponent.
