GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Will Davis carded consecutive rounds of 72 and sits tied for 11th to pace the Davidson men's golf team after day one of the Quebin Cup hosted by High Point University.

Sedgefield Country Club, home of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship, played an average of five strokes over par due to windy and firm conditions.

In addition to the host Panthers, the 13-team field includes Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Michigan, Davidson, Nebraska, Chattanooga, Colorado State, Coastal Carolina, Furman, College of Charleston, and UNC Wilmington.

Davidson (+33), which currently sits tied for eighth with Charleston on the leaderboard, was one of eight teams to complete all 36 holes Monday as play was suspended due to darkness.

The Wildcats currently sit just seven shots outside the Top-5.

Coming off his first career win, Joshua Stewart (+7) also shot a two-over 72 in his second round and sits tied for 28th with fellow Wildcat Clayton Couey (+7).

Davis Sayman (+15 | T-66) and Nate Faulkner (+18 | 73) are also in the Davidson lineup.

Following the completion of round two, Tuesday's third and final round will begin at 9 a.m.
