Berquist and Sullivan Set Personal Records to Lead ‘Cats at Royals Challenge

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second straight outing, Davidson's Anne Berquist recorded a personal-best time, while finishing 11th among collegiate runners in the 2023 Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University.
The Women's Gold 5k took place on the Larry McAfee Course at McAlpine Park.
After posting an 18:21.8 last weekend at Louisville's Live in Lou to better her previous best by 15 seconds, Berquist crossed the line in 18:13.19 Friday afternoon.
Davidson teammate Molly Sullivan also set a new PR with a time of 18:28.81 to place inside the Top-25.
Hallie Stewart (19:01.34), Mary Shoop (19:08.85), Katie Deacon (19:49.55), Justine Meta (19:53.03), Hannah Morgan (20:32.10), Harrison Grooms (20:42.11), Tate Arrington (20:43.97) and Lilly Sirover (21:36.66) also ran for the Wildcats, who finished seventh out of 29 teams.
