Davidson Heads to Familiar Foe Thursday Night

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson women's basketball team heads to a familiar foe on Thursday night, set to take on former Southern Conference rival, UNC Greensboro at 7 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
LAST TIME OUT... Elle Sutphin notched the second 30-point performance of her career on Sunday afternoon, boosting the Davidson Wildcats past Jacksonville State, 71-56, for their third win of the 2022-23 season. In addition to her 30 piece, Sutphin shot 9-14 from the field, a perfect 11-11 from the charity stripe and grabbed eight rebounds.
ROAD WARRIORS... The Wildcats have played on the road for their last seven games and have two more road trips, including UNCG and #8 NC State, before returning to Belk Arena on December 18 against Elon.
MILESTONE MARKER... Davidson women's basketball is closing in on 500 wins in the 44th season of the program's history. With three wins so far this season, the Wildcats have collected 496 wins in program history.
THE NUMBERS... Davidson averages 58.9 points per game through nine games this season, led by Elle Sutphin and Suzi-Rose Deegan who average 17.3 and 12.1 points per game, respectively.

- UNCG holds the lead in the all-time series against the Wildcats, 28-22.
- The Wildcats and Spartans were SoCon opponents from 1997 to 2014, before Davidson joined the Atlantic 10.
- Last season's matchup was the first time each side has faced each other as non-conference opponents, where the 'Cats won 56-52.
- In the win, Chloe Welch scored 15 points while Suzi-Rose Deegan and Elle Sutphin added nine and eight points, respectively.
