The Wildcats will play three games in as many days, beginning with Austin Peay on Monday at 2 p.m., followed by UIC on Tuesday, Nov. 22 and Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
LAST TIME OUT... Despite a pair of 12-point efforts from Mallorie Haines and Elle Sutphin, the Davidson Wildcats fell 70-52 to the No. 19 Terps last Wednesday. In front of 7,000 screaming kids on Maryland's Education Day, the 'Cats out-rebounded the Terps 34-31 and shot 38.2 percent from the floor, including a 50 percent (13-26) effort in the second half.
PRESEASON HABITS... Davidson's appearance at the Hostilo Hoops Community Classic is the program's fourth preseason tournament in as many years. During the 2019-20 season, the 'Cats competed in the Preseason WNIT while heading to Florida in 20-21 and 21-22 for the #BeachBubble Showcase and FAU Thanksgiving Tournament, respectively.
A FAMILIAR FOE... The Wildcats are no strangers to the Govs of Austin Peay, as the two teams met twice last season. Davidson took on the Governors in game one of the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament on Nov. 26, winning 65-64, before meeting in the final game of the season, winning 66-58, at the Women's Basketball Invitational on March 20.
NEED TO KNOW... Last season concluded with a win at the Women's Basketball Invitational, in Lexington, Kentucky, in Davidson's fifth all-time postseason appearance. The season ending win over Austin Peay put the 'Cats at 18-15 overall, marking the most wins in a single season since 2012-13 and the most in Head Coach Gayle Fulks' tenure. The WBI Consolation Championship victory also marked the third postseason win in program history.
HISTORY... Davidson has met FDU just once before, in November 2004, winning 65-60 after shooting 48 percent from the floor. Head coach Gayle Fulks will be coaching against her alma mater when Davidson meets the Knights in Savannah, as she graduated from FDU in 2007 after being a four-year letterwinner and co-captain of the Knights.
