DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to tie it late, but St. Bonaventure recovered to hold off the Wildcats 56-53 Wednesday evening in Belk Arena.
Davidson (11-7, 6-4 A-10) had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Luka Brajkovic's 3-point attempt from the left corner was blocked with two seconds left.
After falling behind 46-32 with 16:40 to play, the Wildcats used a 9-0 run to get back in it, while holding the Bonnies scoreless for five minutes. A Carter Collins 3-pointer from the left corner with 6:38 left got the Wildcats within two points, and Brajkovic split a double team for a layup to tie it at 53-all with 2:29 left. But the Bonnies immediately responded with a Jalen Adaway 3-pointer and kept the Wildcats scoreless from there.
Bona (12-3, 10-3 A-10) led 39-28 at the half after closing the first 20 minutes on an 11-0 run, following a tying 3-pointer by Hyunjung Lee.
Collins led Davidson with 16 points, while Brajkovic added 12.
Jaren Holmes led Bona with 16, while Dominick Welch scored all 15 of his points from beyond the arc in the first half, and Adaway finished with 14.

Davidson will conclude its regular season Saturday with a 2 p.m. nationally-televised (ESPNU) contest against VCU.
