BRONX, N.Y. – Kellan Grady paced four Davidson players in double figures with a game-high 28 points as the Wildcats closed their road swing with a 79-69 win at Fordham, Tuesday evening inside Rose Hill Gym.
With the win, Davidson improves to 18-6 overall and remains atop the A-10 standings at 9-2.
A sophomore from Boston, Mass., Grady finished 9-of-15 from the floor and connected on 10 of his 12 free-throw attempts.
The 2018 A-10 Rookie of the Year was joined in double figures by Luka Brajkovic, who recorded his fourth double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Luke Frampton scored 15 and Jon Axel Gudmundsson finished with 11 to go along with 5 rebounds and 8 assists.
The Wildcats shot 50.9 percent and had a 43-28 advantage on the glass, while also holding Fordham to just 38.3 percent.
In addition, Davidson finished with 42 points in the paint to just 18 for the Rams.
After Fordham (10-14, 1-10 A-10) cut the deficit to 38-33 early in the second half, the Wildcats responded with a lengthy run and eventually pushed the margin to as many as 17 with 6:18 to play. The Rams chipped away late with 10 straight points, but were unable to get closer than six the rest of the way.
Jalen Cobb and Nick Honor led Fordham with 16 points each.
Midway through the opening half, Davidson grabbed its first lead with nine unanswered points, and later closed the period with an 11-3 spurt, capped by three straight Frampton triples to go into the break up, 36-25.
Grady led all scorers at the intermission with 15 points, while Frampton added 12.

Davidson returns to Belk Arena for two straight on its home floor beginning with a 7 p.m. nationally-televised (ESPN2) contest against Saint Joseph's Friday.
