'Cats Fall at First-Place Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio — The Davidson volleyball team was unable to derail Dayton's perfect conference season and took a 3-0 loss to the first-place Flyers Friday night at the Frericks Center.
With the loss, Davidson is now 10-16 overall and 5-8 in league play with one match to go. Dayton (20-7) improved to 13-0 in the A-10 with the 25-18, 25-9 and 25-18 victory.
Annalyse Kitzberger led the Wildcats with six kills, and Hattie Rodriguez had four. Sydney Champaigne had 19 assists, and Josie Treadwell had a team-high eight digs.
Jamie Peterson led Dayton with 11 kills.

The Wildcats close the regular season Sunday at Saint Louis. The match in Chaifetz Pavilion will begin at 1 p.m.
