KINGSTON, R.I. – Jarvis Garrett paced four Rhode Island players in double figures with 17 points and the nationally-ranked Rams extended their winning streak to 15, with a 72-59 victory over Davidson, Friday at the Ryan Center.

Cyril Langevine (14), Fatts Russell (10) and Stanford Robinson (10) also went over the 10-point plateau for Rhode Island (20-3, 12-0 A-10), which hit 10 3-pointers and got 41 points from its bench.

Despite the setback, Kellan Grady led the Wildcats with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while Peyton Aldridge added 15.

The Rams stretched the margin to 49-29 with 14:15 to play and did not allow Davidson (13-10, 8-4 A-10) closer than 13 the rest of the way.

The Wildcats, who entered averaging 11.4 3-pointers per game, hit just 4-of-17 from long range.

Rhode Island used a 20-5 run midway through the first period to break open a one-point game and push its lead to 16, before going to the half up, 34-23.

Both teams shot 49 percent, while the Rams finished with a 32-23 margin on the glass.
