DAVIDSON, N.C. – Brian Sullivan scored 20 points, hit six 3-pointers and handed out 7 assists to lead Davidson to a 79-66 win over La Salle in Atlantic 10 men's basketball action Wednesday night at Belk Arena.
As a team, the Wildcats shot 58 percent, drilled 12-of-24 treys and finished with 24 assists on 29 made field goals.
Peyton Aldridge recorded his fourth career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Jordan Barham had 12 points off the bench for the Wildcats, who have won 31 of their last 33 at home.
Despite scoring just eight points, Jack Gibbs, the nation's third leading scorer, joined his backcourt mate with 7 assists.
Early in the second half, Davidson (14-8, 6-5 A-10) stretched the lead to double figures where it would stay.
Yevgen Sakhniuk led three Explorers in double figures with 20 points, while Jordan Price and Tony Washington added 15 and 11, respectively.
Davidson, which shot 65.2 percent in the first half, used a 13-2 run late in period to break open a one-point contest before going to the break up, 38-31.
The Wildcats held a 28-18 advantage on the glass.

Davidson will travel to Fairfax, Va., for a 4 p.m. contest at George Mason Saturday afternoon.
